How much should I charge for my kayak?

I am moving and will not be able to take my kayak with me, so I need to sell it. I bought it on sale three years ago for three hundred dollar and will be including the Spray Skirt and two paddles and a DVD and book on kayaking. Basically it would be great for a beginner looking to get into the sport. I was thinking of asking $150.00. The kayak and everything are in Good Condition. My question is do you think that I am asking the right price? Part of me thinks it should be higher, but I don’t want to scare off a newbie with a high price. I want a quick sale. Suggestions?

Since your including all the gear that goes with it if it’s still in great condition asking $300 is reasonable. Put it on craigslist in the sporting goods category, the boats category and the RV category that’s three different listings that are free. If you get no takers reduce the price by $50 each week it doesn’t sell till it does. Don’t take offers below that as these folks are looking to make deals themselves for a quick resale. Also put up a flyer for it at the local tackle shop or mountain gear shop. Put it on your car with a for sale sign by the lake. All good ideas
