Tankini Swimming Suits – Which Style Is Your Style?

Tankinis are available in so many styles.  If you are wondering which one is the best for you, read on.

First, the traditional Tankini style of a tank top coupled with a bikini bottom is a classic look.  It offers full coverage in a two piece.  This is a great style for women who shy away from a two piece due to not have abs of steel.  No worries, the tummy is covered, ladies!

Next, is the Tankini Shortini.  These tankini swimming suits are sporty and comfortable.  This tankini features short-style bottoms that are more flattering to those of us with a bit of “saddle-bag” syndrome (you know what I mean).  For those of us that may be a bit uncomfortable in a swimsuit, but don’t think twice about wearing shorts and a tank top – this is the style is for us.

Another great tankini style is the Tankini Skirtini.  These tankini bathing suits for women are figure flattering, fun and flirty with a skirt-style bottom.  This style is composed of a tankini and a skirt – pretty basic, right?  The skirt-style bottom is flattering to those of us with larger buttocks or upper thighs (great for hiding cellulite).

The tankini skirtini is also great for older women with stretch marks and veins as it removes focus from these areas.  For pear-shaped women, this style disguises wide hips and heavy thighs, enhancing your appearance.  At the same time, the tankini skirtini style supports women on the thinner side because it provides the illusion of an hour-glass figure.

How about the Ruched Tankini?  This style contains elastic sewn into the sides of the top, allowing you to adjust the length of the top as well as providing greater waist definition.  These tankini bathing suits for women are great for women with long torsos as they lend the torso a shorter looking appearance.

Last, but not least – have you considered the Camikini?  These tankini swimming suits are very similar to the design for the traditional tankini.  It generally pairs a more structured, camisole-type top with bikini bottoms.  This style provides great support for women with larger breasts.

For full-figured women, it is important to ensure the bottom and top meet to achieve a flattering look (regardless of the tankini style you choose).  A great look for full-figured women is to match a light-colored or print ruched tankini top with a darker bottom (in whichever style you choose).
