Fly For Fun Guide – KannaRen’s Guide to the Perfect lvl 105+ PvP/PK Blade by Ig2t
Since I’ve somewhat quit, I have decided to leave the FlyFF community my knowledge gained through my experiences in game, as well as massive research on the topic. This guide is purely for Blades that are level 105+ only and focuses on excelling in killing other players as a blade with the most overpowered weapons in the game.
Important Things to Have to make an excellent PvP Blade:
1. Equips:
Get a +10 lvl 105 V7 Set with Pierced 28% atk rate suit: This set up provides the maximum amount of atk rate and the maximum amount of HP. This is better than a 28% HP rate suit because it will have more atk rate with the same amount of HP (the builds will
vary of course but the atk rate suit provided the best combination)
Two LGA+8 or higher: This is a given. +80% crit damage is the ONLY reason this set up works.
Strente x2 +1 or higher: Strength IS important
and Speedos+2 or higher: Block Rate IS important. With this build the only other class that should be able to kill you are melee classes with extremely high DPS, what better way to stop that, then to stop their DPS entirely with blocks.
Gore Necklace+6: Standard Blade equip, should not be changed
Red Sunglasses: highest HP and FP boost accessory in the game from the CS, should be obvious why this would be used.
Cloak of Strong/Dragon Cape: Again, str is the life blood of blades, and if you can get a dragon cape by winning the GW that’s even better.
Reasoning: For blades, equips determine damage output and what you are trying to do is get as much damage as possible while having something up your sleeve (aka the speedos)
2. The Build:
In order to be able to tank the 1HKO moves of the game, namely Asal and Hit of Penya, you need over 20k HP. This will ensure that the majority of BPs and Jesters will not kill you in one hit. BPs on Aibatt mostly run asals that deal 14-19k, which is enough to kill most anyone in one hit… but not with this build. Jesters at typically deal 12k to me with the exception of pimped out ones using upcuts, link, and +3 CW jewels. They can go upward of 23k per HoP that way. But I’ll explain how to get around that later. 20k HP is acheived by having at least 200 stamina (with the equip configuration I gave in #1.) The rest of your stat points should go into dex. Your base str should be 15. The reason for this is again block rate, evasion, and hit rate. Since we hit for less we have to make sure all our atks connect and also minimize the amount of atks we take. The no str part is made up for by the 28% atk rate suit and the +80% crit damage effect of two LGAs.
3. Strategy in Battle:
We go against many different kinds of players with different builds and different playing styles. You should learn to adapt to whomever you come across and change your playing style accordingly. Generally you should stay away from psykeepers and knights just because they are a waste of time. Psys have crucio which is a large obstacle to overcome. One would need perfect timing and execution to kill psy with crucio on and it would simply not be worth it (save these guys for last.) Knights are hard simply because they have so much HP. If it was a knight on pills and cookies alone, then be my guest and melee him to death. If it was a knight on lemantis, forget about it. There is no way for you to deal 50k+ damage in under 2 seconds (damn low cooldown for an all HP heal item -_-) What blades should do is focus instead on all the other classes. Since low sta with high str is popular, you should be able to kill any other class within 5 seconds. You don’t need to worry so much about tanking, seeing as you have 20k HP. Normal Asals and HoP even if they had pimp gear would not kill you in one hit (they would be only able to do so with CS items, the “stick trick,” and using party skills.)
4. Cash Shop Items:
Other classes can kill you by using cash shop items right? Well we can use CS items to survive those attacks too.
Grilled Eel: Will increase max HP to 27k+, a fairly large amount to overcome
Holy Scrolls: They are cheap and will nullify the annoying affects of stun and satanology
Lemantis: Just like knights, we can tank that asal or HoP and heal to full health every 2 seconds
Scrolls of Velocity: Great for quick get aways
Upcut Stones: Not satisfied with 3-8k crits? Then use one of these to get 4k/9.5k crits
5. Smarts:
Choose your fights wisely, know when to retreat and when to attack. To maximize the effectiveness of blade equips, generally one should be in blinking exp mode to get the bonus 22% crit rate. This will nullify the loss of not using a dest set for PvP.
Closing Remarks:
I love FlyFF and all the friends I’ve made to this point. I miss the ones that have quit and hope that I will help the new generation of people I won’t meet. I hope that those that read this find it helpful and insightful. To all my friends thank you so much for everything and the wonderful times. To all those that helped me with my damage tests over the last few months, thank you for you patience and going out of your way to help me with my calculations.
